Does anyone even fall for those things anymore?

I think my axolotl is going to die. She's been refusing to eat for three weeks, even after much persistence. Her gills have started to shrivel and there is white mucus secreting from her butt. Yesterday, she pooped bright green poop. I checked the symptoms online, and that could either be caused by liver failure (dying liver apparently makes poo green) or worse, the hot weather has stuffed her metabolism to the point where her internal organs crapped up and the food has rotted in her body. I have put her in the fridge for now, she seems to be happier there. If anyone's got tips, they be much appreciated. Google isn't helping, and it'd be ridiculous to take her to the vet, considering the price of a single check up.
